Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using FinYield (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Site. They apply to every visitor and user, everywhere, and constitute the entire agreement between you and FinYield regarding the Site.

The service

FinYield provides free, ad-supported, browser-based financial calculators - including tools for freelance rates, financial independence (FIRE), capital gains tax and loan amortization - for educational and informational purposes only. The Site is delivered as a set of static web pages, and all computations are executed locally in your browser. Nothing on the Site creates a professional, advisory or fiduciary relationship of any kind.

No financial advice

All outputs produced by FinYield are mathematical estimates provided for educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. Every result depends entirely on the inputs and assumptions you supply - rates of return, inflation, tax treatment and market behaviour that cannot be predicted with certainty, and which may not reflect the rules or fees of your jurisdiction. Always consult a qualified professional - such as a licensed financial adviser, accountant or attorney - before acting on any figure shown here. Past performance and assumed returns do not guarantee future results.

Accuracy and availability

Our formulas are tested carefully and documented openly on each calculator’s page, but the Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied - including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. Your use of the outputs is entirely at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall FinYield or its operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages - including loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses - arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or from any reliance placed on its outputs or content. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities, in which case portions of this section may not apply to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, spider or otherwise abuse the Site in any way that degrades its availability or performance for others;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or interfere with the operation of the Site;
• misrepresent the tools as your own product, or redistribute them with attribution removed; or
• use the Site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

We reserve the right to withdraw access for any violation of these rules.

Intellectual property

The Site’s design, text, graphics, code and branding are owned by FinYield and protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use the calculators freely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, republish or build derivative products from the Site without prior written permission, and the FinYield name and wordmark may not be used without consent.

Third-party ads and links

The Site may display advertising served by Google AdSense and may contain links to external websites. Those advertisements and links are provided for convenience only; they are not endorsements, and we do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, practices or privacy policies. Any dealings you have with advertisers found on the Site are solely between you and the advertiser.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The current version, effective as of November 2026, is posted on this page, and the “last updated” date above will change with any revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
